Adult Neuropsychological Evaluations

Dr. Everett provides neuropsychological evaluations for individuals aged 18 and older with various neurologic and/or psychiatric disorders, some of which include:

  • Acquired brain injury (e.g., concussion, traumatic brain injury)

  • Cerebrovascular disease (e.g., stroke)

  • Epilepsy and seizure disorders

  • Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Learning Disability (LD)

  • Dementia

  • Mild Cognitive Impairment

  • Movement disorders (e.g., Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s disease)

  • Systemic diseases affecting the brain or central nervous system (e.g., systemic lupus erythematosus, multiple sclerosis)

  • Mood disorders (e.g., depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder)

  • Brain tumor

 

What issues are addressed in a neuropsychological evaluation?

  • Memory

  • Attention/concentration

  • Language and learning difficulties

  • Impulse control

  • Capacity to make legal, financial and/or medical decisions

  • Personality and emotional functioning

  • Cognitive and psychological challenges in chronic illnesses (e.g., Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's Disease, Alzheimer's Dementia)
